Attara Kacheri - High Court of Karnataka
Attara Kacheri literally means "Eight Offices" or departments. In 1864 commissioner Bowring conceived and prepare the plans for settling up a full fledged secretariat building, almost a century before the Vidhana Soudha. An impressive two storied building of stone and brick, red in colour and has been built in the Greco-Roman style, it was earlier known as the Old Public Offices, housing the general revenue and sacretariat of the state Government. It now has the offices of the High Court of Karnataka
Vidhana Soudha ( The Parliment House of Karnataka)
Build by Kengel Hanumanthaiah, the then chief Minister of Mysore State, this imposing building is the house of Legislative Assembly and the Administrative Office of Karnataka. Vidhana Soudha, an arresting monument is built by using pure granite and the huge doors of cabinet are made of pure sandalwood. Housing 22 departments and 300 rooms, the gleaming white domes, pillars and archways resemble the architectural pattern of Mysore's palace
St Mary's Basilica (Sivaji Nagar)
This church situated opposite to the russel market square is one of the oldest churches in Bangalore. In the earlier days this was built as a small chapel in the year 1818 by Abbey Dubois and was later converted into an ornate Gothic style church by Rev.L.E.Kleiner and the church was given the status of Basilica in the year 1973
