Build by Tipu Sultan in 1781 - 1791 AD, It is situated in the busy market place close to the Fort built by Hyder Ali which has a well preserved Ganapathi Temple. This double storied ornate palace is made of teak wood & is beatifully decorated with floral motifs on the walls and the ceilings. The structure is replete with pillars, arches & balconies and the whole palace resembles Daira Daulat Palace of Srirangapatna. After the death of Tipu, British used this palace as their secretariat the fort are the remains of Tipu's Palace.
